Getting to Camp Barkeley from Abilene Regional Airport:

  • Travel left/NW out of Abilene Regional Airport onto Hwy 36.
  • At overpass turn Left/SW onto Jack Roberts Frwy, continue around loop (it becomes Winters Frwy).
  • Exit Hwy277/south 14th street, turn left/SW onto HWY 277.
  • Continue to View,Tx/Shell Gas Station/FM 1235 and turn Left/SE.
  • Travel two miles and turn right onto a dirt road right before you cross the railroad.
  • Travel 1/2 mile to the first gate/Camp Barkeley, it is green.
  • To open the gate, turn the metal key and pull out. Please close the gate behind you.
  • The Retreat Center is the tan/green building on the right!
